Residents at Beechmount enjoyed some cheerful Easter Sunday fun, with a cheeky chocolate egg hunt followed by a lovely buffet tea.
The celebration brought plenty of smiles, laughter and, by the sound of it, a few mysteriously disappearing eggs along the way. After the hunt, residents were able to sit down and enjoy an inviting spread of Easter treats. The buffet table looked wonderful, with a selection of seasonal goodies including chocolate cornflake egg nests and a strawberry gateau topped with an Easter bunny decoration.
The home was also brightened with lovely floral displays, with vases decorated for Easter adding an extra festive touch to the room. Photos from the day show residents getting into the spirit of things too, including one lady wearing bunny glasses and holding an Easter sign, and another smiling with sheep glasses while holding a chocolate cat.
Simple celebrations like this can make a big difference to daily life in the home. Seasonal activities encourage conversation, shared enjoyment and a sense of occasion, while buffet teas and light-hearted games help residents come together in a relaxed and sociable way. A little chocolate does not hurt either.
It sounds as though Easter Sunday at Beechmount was enjoyed by everyone, with happy faces, tasty treats and a fun atmosphere throughout the home.
